We are located on the North Pacific coast of Nicaragua. We are a 3 hour drive from Managua. The name of the village where we live is Asseradores. We are the only resort located right on the Boom Beach. CLICK HERE FOR MAP

How do I get to Chancletas Beach Resort?

We will arrange an airport transfer for you with one of our private Chancletas taxis. Our driver will have a sign with your name on it at the airport exit waiting for you.​

Is it safe to travel to Nicaragua right now?

Nicaragua is considered the safest country in Central America. Come on down and enjoy it!

Do you offer any discounts for large group travel or long-term stays?

Yes, if you are planning on coming to Chancletas with a large group of 7 or more people, or private retreat and would like to stay with us for an extended period, we do offer special rates. Please contact us directly to discuss.

Are there ATM's close to Chancletas?

The closest ATM is in Chinendega which is a 45 minute drive from Chancletas.

Does Chancletas accept credit cards?

At the current time we are only accepting Cash, Venmo, Paypal or direct deposit via Banking.

What is the currency used in Nicaragua?

The official Nicaraguan currency is called Cordobas. However, Chancletas (as with the rest of Nicaragua) accepts USD and Cordobas. We are not able to accept other currencies or travelers checks at this moment.

What other activities are there to do in the area?

You will never be bored here! There are a variety of other activities to do other than surf! We are more than happy to arrange volcano trekking excursions, paddleboarding trips, fishing, kayaking, horseback riding, massage, yoga, and much more!

What do I need to bring?

• Non aerosel insect repellent

• flashlight

• running shoes & light long pants (if you plan on doing any offsite excursions)

• USD cash for gratuities, alcoholic drinks, and additional tours and excursions

• any gently used or new donation items for the local community and school 

• your surfboard(s) - you know what you like to ride!

• extra leash and wax 

 

What is the food like at Chancletas?

Our restaurant serves a fusion of local and American cuisine based on what is fresh and in-season! We are also happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions you may have - just let us know ahead of time! Our meal plan for resort guests include a pre-surf continental breakfast, hot breakfast, lunch, & dinner with dessert.
